The College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme (CoRIPS) is supporting what is expected to be an increased number of companies taking advantage of the ‘Education on the Stand’ initiative at UKRC 2009.
The College’s industry partners will back efforts to provide CPD value in the exhibition as well as in the lecture programme. A significant number of the continuing professional development initiatives will be 'CPD Now' accredited by the College of Radiographers.
Richard Evans, SoR CEO, commented: “At UKRC 2008 exhibitors provided an organised and co-ordinated programme on the stands or in the exhibition hall of very high quality CPD opportunities. It was a success with record number of radiographers attending the sessions and speaking highly of what was on offer.
"The initiative worked because the programme had been organised with radiographers’ CPD and career development in mind. The sense of partnership between industry and the professions has never been stronger.”
Tuesday, 9 February 2009 is the date by which exhibitors must apply to the College of Radiographers for CPD Now accreditation of their continuing professional development activities at UKRC.
Accreditations issued for the 2008 programme are still valid unless the content has changed significantly. Changes or modifications made on the basis of technical and practice developments do not require re-accreditation. New programmes will, of course, need to be accredited.
CoRIPS members receive accreditation for 'Education on the Stand' programmes at no charge.
